The Combined League Events have been a great addition to the current Track Season competition. Fifteen athletes took the opportunity to contest a number of events on a warm day at Grangemouth on Sunday.
Our young sprinters turned out in force with Imante Gkontouin recording the fastest time with a speedy legal time of 12.19 +1.1 (PB)
Other sprinters – Paul Easdale 12.33 +2.0, Cole Kilpatrick 12.56 +2.0, Maynard Conteh 12.89 +1.1 (PB)
Michael Conteh running the 100m Hurdles for the first time recorded a very respectable time of 16.87 +3.4.
The 1500m series saw a real mixture of Shettleston athletes over a wide range of age groups. It was great to see 6 Shettleston athletes contest this event

Lucky Fadun continues his progress recording yet another PB performance in the 400m with a time of 54.89.
Another young athlete showing great progress is Iman Djoudi who ran her first race for over 2 years .Her time of 45.27 over 300m was a great return to the track for her and a fast 800m is on the cards in the next few weeks.
John Scott, who celebrated his 80th birthday this weekend, was pleased to see his athletes doing well in the Shot Putt. Jay McCarthy won with a distance of 13.34m and Hannah Struthers recorded a season beast with a distance of 8.68
Morgan Finlay has had a busy time over the last few weeks winning the Triple Jump at the Trafford Grand Prix (Manchester) 10.76m and followed this up at the Combined League Match with a distance of 10.34 .
News from Birmingham at the British Masters International tells us the Charlene Manley won her 800m in a PB time of 2.20 (provisional ) and Carson Graham was also competed over a number of events. Awaiting the official results.
