H.W Harvey joined Shettleston Harriers around about 1913 and was Club Secretary from 1923 to 1927 . A number of year’s ago his daughter sent an article he write just before he died about the club , he lived to 95 years of age.

She also supplied a letter from Eric Liddell. Mr Harvey wrote to him to try and get him to compete in the Shettleston Sports at Celtic Park in 1925.
