Congratulations to John Owens of the club who coaches Kayleigh Haggo ( Red Star AC) on her World Record and European title in RR3 100m over the weekend in Poland.

Meanwhile In Sweden saw Chris Bennett continuing his great form when he was first at the Folksan Grand Prix in Gothenburg with one of the longest throws of his career of 75.76m. Teddy Tchoudja and Jamie Burns were also competing at Manchester but no results as yet.

Closer to home we had 4 finishers at the Glasgow Milers Meeting which was moved to Linwood from Crownpoint on Friday due to Glasgow being in Level 3 restrictions. We have now moved to Level 2, and this will allow all our athletes to get back to the track.

All 4 athletes achieved PB performances at Linwood:

Katie Woods U/15 800m 2.33.33

Callum Oates Senior 3000m 9.18.75

Jethro Lennox was competing at a 60k Hill Race recently and early report show he was 1st 13 minutes clear, full report to follow.

48 of our younger athletes have been competing in the 4J Studios Virtual SUPERteams Challenge May 2021 over May. Each athlete did a 75m, 600m, Long Jump and Overhead Throw. Some great performances from everyone.
