Club Member Mike Deason has been selected to represent Scotland in the Anglo Celtic Plate over 100km (62miles) on the 3rd May in Leicester. Again another busy weekend for the club both indoors /outdoors .The Scottish Open saw Joseph Lanahan break the club record for the U/15 Long jump with one of the longest jumps every by a Scottish U/15 athlete with a leap of 6.25. It is interesting to note Club Coach, Gordon Bury, coached the current record holder Ross Maxwell (6.47) which was set in 2010.

On Sunday the club turned to the road with a number of club members travelling to compete in Maryhill Harriers Nigel Barge 10km .Taha Ghafari repeated last years win taking the title from Scottish Internationalist John Bell ( Inverclyde). Fionnuala Ross made it a double win for the club taking the Ladies title in one of the fastest times in the UK over 10km this year 33.31.
