Congratulations to Eilidh Bell who received her first international vest over the weekend when she finished 11th in a PB of 75.58 helping Scotland win the international team contest at the Clear Water Antrim1/2 Marathon in Northern Ireland. John Mackay was also  in Ireland as team manager for the Scotland team. Tara Walker also made the journey across the water to finish 16th in her age group in the mass start.

It was great to  see a number  of our young athletes make the journey to Birmingham to the English Athletic Age Championships and this can only help in their development.

In an incredible  busy weekend the Monument Mile Series organised by Central AC at Stirling also featured a number of Shettleston athletes

Results : Cameron Wallace Sen -Mile 5.00.25  -1500m 4.38.88;

Joseph Reilly U/17 Mile 5.19.78 -1500m -5.01.70; Zoe Roberts U/13 mile 5.42.12 -1500m 5.22.38;

Charlotte Reilly U/13 Mile 6.35.09 -1500m 6.12.60

Reports have also came in that the club performed very well at the Ochils Hill Race

Parkruns – Wins for Fergus and Holly

Holly Morrison was the first placed Shettleson Harrier at the Strathclyde Parkrun finishing in 5th overall and 1st lady in a time of 18.30. Paul Mcguigan finished in a time of 23.39.

At Linwood Parkrun John Oates finished 23rd place in a time of 21.16.

There was not the usual battle at Tollcross Parkrun this weekend however David Murphy finished 9th place overall in a time of 22.11. A top 10 at Tollcross is considered a good run on the tough course.

At Springburn Parkrun, Fergus Donnelly took first place in a hard fought battle in a time of 17.32 with Scott Mckelvie not far behind in 3rd in a time of 17.38.

At Drumpellier Parkrun, Gerry Mason finished in a time of 26.33.

At Queens Parkrun, Susan Breckenridge finished in a time of 26.46.

At Forfar Parkrun ,Melanie Hayes finished in 29.40

Finally at Elder Parkrun, Raymond Loughran finished in a time of 29.45
