Calderglen Trail running festival
Several members made it across to Calderglen last Friday to take part in the trail running festival. With trail races for all ages this is a great event organised by Calderglen Harriers.
First up was the 1km under 11s race with a win for Joseph Paterson who along with Oliver Allen (5th) and Sebastian Wallace (7th) secured 1st team. Olive Lennox (16th) finished 3rd girl.
The 3km race included both U12 and U15 age groups and genders. With over 60 runners jostling for position along the narrow paths it was good experience for the youngsters. Rio Biddlecombe came in 16th (6th MU12) just ahead of Rowan Lennox in 17th (6th FU12).
Jethro Lennox claimed overall win in the 5k race in 19:35. Fraser Stewart of Cambuslang winning the 10k with David Murphy (60th, 6th V50) and Gerard Mason (154th) ensuring we had runners in each of the races (apart from the Toddler dash!).
