Last weekend saw 16 of our Under 12 athletes making the trip to Aberdeen for the 4J Studios SUPERteams National Championships. A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents/guardians/coaches and the club for the support that made the trip possible for these 16 athletics, for some their first ever competition.

They were some excellent performances from all these young athletes. The Boys A team (Zack Hutton, Edanne Gomes, Joseph Lanahan, Abraham Lanahan) finished 4th over all Abraham Lanahan finished 1st boy in the competition beating Angus Weir of Giffnock. The Boys B team of Murray Graham, Sam McGowan, Lucas Millican and Evan Brown finished 9th

The Girls A team of Alexia Riggs, Zoe Roberts , Rebecca Hay and Eva Porteous were 14th Team and the Girls B team (Grace Hamilton, Scarlett Waddell, Louise Clifford and Stella Barrett) finished 20th.

Our Under 12’s were joined in Aberdeen by Olympian Chris Bennett, Chris is looking to go to his 2nd Olympics at Tokyo this summer. The UKA Olympic standard is 77.50 and Chris has been doing a number of events over the last few weeks. Chris won with a distance of 73.57.
