Parkrun wins for Cameron, close finish for Ronnie at Tollcross, Fergus back in action, 3rd for Emma at Springburn, Ruth back in action at Levengrove.

An extremely busy weekend for club members across the country at the Parkruns with everyone giving 100%.

So it was over to Pollok Parkun where Chris Pantrey finished 8th place in a time of 18.54.

At Strathclyde Parkrun, Cameron Muir continued his good form after his sub 16 time at Kilmaurs 5k. Cameron won in a time of 16.32. Strathclyde Park run is often a popular venue for the club members and offers fast times on a calm day.

At Linwood, Rowan secure 3rd place junior in a time of 24.05 with Jethro one second behind doing pacing duties.

At Crichton Parkrun, Iain Burns was 3rd in a time of 17.57.

No more than five Shettleston runners took part in the hilly Tollcross Parkrun. Ronnie Strachan was so close from the win with 1 second between Cambuslang’s Justin Carter. John Craig was 5th in a time of 19.30, David Murphy 16th in a time of 22.19, Bob Porteous in 28.01, and Joanne Harkins in 32.03.

At Victoria Parkrun, Fergus Donnelly improved on last week’s time with 5th position in a time of 17.38. Scott Mckelvie was 6th in 17.45. Mark McColl was 20th in 18.45 and Victoria Riddell first woman for second week in a row in a time of 19.13. There was even time afterwards for a coffee and scone in the west end to talk about next races coming up !

A great result for Emma Purdie with 3rd female in a time of 22.28 at the Springburn event.

At Daventry Parkrun, Toby Hession was 5th in a time of 19.04.

Emma Mackinnon finished the Drumpelier Parkrun in a time of 27.23 with Kevin Armstrong in a time of 27.25. 

At Levengrove Parkrun, Ruth Joss ran a time of 19.47 for 1st female. Levengrove is a very scenic course but also demanding with a number of tough hills.

Raymond Loughran ran round the Govan Park course in a time of 28.42.
