It was a very quiet weekend after a hectic few weeks in terms of Cross Country and Road Races apart for our marathon runners.
Lachlan Oates and Adam Peters travelled to Frankfurt for the marathon. Lachlan ran 2.23.18 and Adam 3.03.54. I am sure we will get some feed back over the next few weeks on this iconic marathon.
Crownpoint saw the final Scottish Athletics Autumn Throws GP of the season on Saturday, Joseph Lanahan continued his great form from the summer recording three PB performances – Javelin 27.90m , Shot Putt 8.65m , Hammer 19.14m .
Next weekend we return to Kirkcaldy for the Short Course Championships. Our young athletes had a busy Sunday competing in the first Scottish Indoor League at the Emirates. Full results are not yet available but from observation some great performances were posted. Thank you to our team of officials and team mangers who worked throughout the day for the club .This is essential.
Some great news was received on Saturday that we have regained our place back in the Scottish Young athletes outdoor league after the paper exercise. We were founder members of this league and it was disaster for the club to be relegated out of it. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard during the summer -athletes ,coaches and club officials who have made our return possible.
Dates for all our league matches will be posted soon – National League (Seniors and U/17) ,CSSAL league (All age groups from Masters to U/11) and the Young athletes league (U13 and U15) -Try to get these in your diaries ASAP !
