Congratulations to our three athletes who represented Glasgow in Saturday’s European Cities Athletic Challenge in the Emirates Arena. The cities involved were Glasgow, Berlin, Helsinki, Cardiff and Brussels.

Jonathan Hooper leaped to a PB performance in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.55m, which ranks him number 2 in Scotland and 14th in the UK. Annie McLean (60m) and Adam Clifford (400m) competed over unfamiliar distances, with Annie running 8.47secs and Adam 54.19secs.

Kirsty Mann had a successful run in her first marathon running in hot conditions in Amsterdam. Her time of 3hrs 24.34 is highly respectable for a first attempt. Last weekend, Kirsty was helping at the West District Relays at Alexandria Park in the rain, supporting her club.
