Congratulations to Lynn McKenna who again broke the club 3000m record with at time of 9.27.00 at the BMC Meeting at Watford on Saturday evening – She was supported to compete at this event by a Grant from the Alistair Blamire Fund .

Further north Fred Davis was 3rd in the Great North 10km at Newcastle with a time of 33.14 .The winner was Calum Johnston who had won our Babcock Shettleston 10km earlier this year.

Earlier last week a number of our master runners took the opportunity to compete our the 5km at the Scottish Veterans 5km event at Clydebank

64th Denis Williams M60 – Denis also  competed at the Calderglen 10km last week finished 27th – His club mate Rowan Lennox finished 1st Female in the 1km event

Our young athletes were competing at the Youth Development League at Scotstoun on Sunday, no results so far

Parkruns PB for Gerard and good run by Michael and Chris

Firstly it was down to Dorset for the Moors Valley Parkrun where Chris Pantrey took second place in 17.49, 10 seconds behind the winner.

At Strathclyde Parkun, Gerard Pelegri ran a personal best in 16.51 for 4th place overall.

Michael Paxton was just 3 seconds from the leader at the Falkirk Parkrun, finishing second in a time of 17.24.

At Tollcross Parkrun, Simon Gay and Gerry Mason finished in 11th 23.11 and 12th 23.13 position respectively.

The Rising Sun Parkrun sounds like somewhere in Japan however it is in fact in Newcastle !

Fred Davies took a more leisurable pace in a time of 24.20.

At the Queens Parkrun, Gerry Mason finished in a time of 28.40

Melanie Hayes finished the Forfar Parkrun.
