Most of the action this weekend was south of the border and at our own Goatfell Hill Race on Arran. Peter Mackie and his team of helpers organise the race and this year it returned to normality after holding the Scottish Championships. Full results will be posted as they become available.

Highgate Harriers organised the iconic “Nights of 10,000m ” on Saturday evening and three Shettleston Harriers made the trip to London for the event. DJ, Beer tunnel and a large crowd of spectators supported the athletes as they sped run the track. Philip Neilson was the only Harriers who recorded a PB with a time of 31.50.11 closely followed by his club mate Fred Davies in a time of 32.00.44. Fionnuala Ross continued her returned to full fitness with a time of 34.34.66

Godwin Imante made his debut for Scotland this weekend when he was part of the Scottish Junior 4x100m team which competed at the Loughborough .

This week ahead sees the 2nd race in the Babcock 10km Series and it has been great to see some of our newer members out running and recording PB performances. Last Saturday Toby Hession was preparing for our own Babcock Race on Glasgow Green were he smashed his PB  with a run of 38.49 and last night Toby was the musical conductor at Scottish Opera production of La Traviate ! It is always great to see our members involved in many different activities.
