Glasgow Athletic Association Gala Meeting was at Scotstoun on Friday night , Sam Lesley kicked off a busy weekend with a 4.10.19 in the 1500m , Andrew Taylor did a PB of 4.07.72 in the 1500m to start off his weekend

Lynn McKenna also recorded a PB of 4.30.50 with Katie Woods running 4.56.41 in the 1500m

In the 5000m Lucas Cheskin ran 15.55.11

Godwin Imante showed great form when he won the 90m Borders Athletics Championship at Langholm on Friday finishing ahead of Ethan Pottie (Victoria Park), who was second, and Allan Hamilton (Edinburgh) who was third. Australian sprinter Endale Mekonnen who was fourth.

Patience pays off as Ronnie Wins at Tollcross and other parkrun news

Big news of the day goes to Ronnie Strachan who finally got the win at Tollcross in a time of 18.05. Not to be outdone by John Craig who finished 2nd place in a time of 19.05.

Other finishers David Murphy in a time of 22.35.

At Victoria Parkrun Dan Lowe finished in 6th place in a time of 17.51 with Mark McColl in 23rd place in a time of 19.05.

At Drumpellier Parkrun Paul Mcguigan finished in a time of 22.04 and John Toms in 22.52.

At Queens Parkrun, Rowan Lennox finished in a time of 25.54.

It was good to see Raymond Loughran at the Elder Parkrun, finishing in 29.22.
