Calm overcast weather conditions on Saturday morning promised some fast times around the various parkruns.
And so it was over to Strathclyde Parkrun which is a fast out and back course finishing near the boat club. Ronnie Strachan was first Shettleston Harriers home in 6th place in 17.34 followed by Scott Mckelvie in 8th in 17.50. Great to see Denis Williams back who finished in 12th 19.01. Finally Paul McGuigan was 18th in 19.55.
At Greenock Parkrun Mark McColl ran 18.34 for 12th position.
Matthew Turner took first at Linwood Parkrun in 17.08. Nice to see Matthew back and the course is also very suitable for fast times.
At Tollcross Parkrun Kevin Alston finished in 15th 23.28. Kevin trained with the club a few years ago and nice to see him back again running.
At Victoria Parkrun Fergus Donnolly fresh back from holiday in Australia got a time of 16.28 for second place. Duncan Macauley also ran well in 18.48.
At Springburn Parkrun there was an excellent run by Katie Woods for 2nd place and a time 19.21.
At Drumpellier Park run John Duffy finished in 4th place in a time of 19.11.
At Karpendonkse Plas Parkrun Evelyn Struthers was second female in a time of 24.14.
At Elder Parkrun Rowan Lennox ran 25.16 and Jethro Lennox ran 38.18.
At the Largs Parkrun James Burns ran 20.26 for 4th place.
Finally at Holyrood Parkrun Andrew Shields ran 29.45.
