Congratulations to Lynn McKenna and Jamie Burns on their selection to represent Scotland in the Armagh International Road Races on the  13th February. Armagh  is an excellent event and they will not be alone on the trip to Ireland. With support from the club and the Alastair Blamire Grants another 11 club athletes will get the opportunity to experience one of the fastest road 5km in the world. The club is grateful to Armagh AC for the invites into the race where everyone in the UK and further afield try to secure a place. Our own Fionnuala Ross hails from Armagh and will represent Ulster in the international event.

This makes 5 international vests in the space of two  weeks  for  the club. Congratulations to John Montgomery who coaches  Lynn, Jamie and Rosa Donaldson who recently joined his training group.

With the storm on Friday the Devils Relay, Scottish Senior /U17 Indoor Championship and the West Cross Country League were all cancelled leaving only the Superteams event.

We had 3 teams (2 boys and 1 girls) take part in the 4J studios scottishathletics indoor SuperTeams – this is great fun introduction event to indoor athletics. The teams of 4 take part in 60m, Shot Putt, Long Jump and a 4x200m relay against other clubs from across Scotland.
