West Cross Country League (Match 3)
Cross Country returned to the venue of the 1978 World Cross Championships at Bellahouston Park for the West Cross Country League (including the Lanarkshire CC Championships).

First up was our Under 11 Girls with Zoe Roberts leading the girls in finishing 3rd in the overall race and 2nd in the Lanarkshire, Eilidh Stephen was 15th with Charlotte Reilly 24th to win the the LAAA team title , Molly Brown was 37th and Amelia McGurn 48th

Mitchell McIntosh was first Under 11 Boy in 27th place, with Noad Woldeselassie 29th and Ciaran Curley 31st, 7th team in the West CC Race

Mairi Stephen 15th, Orla Durkin 28th, Thea Walker 42nd won the LAAA Silver Team medal in the Under 13 Girls (6th team in West CC Race). Sophie McCawley was 43rd with Evie McFadden 46th

In the Under 13 Boys Race Lucas Millican was 20th

The LAAA CC Under 15 Girl Race Katie Woods picked up the bronze medal in LAAA Race and was 3rd in West CC. Along with Ava Millican 17th and Kate Monaghan 20th the girls also picked up the Bronze medal in the team race

Well done to Matthew Fox who was 8th in West race and picked up the gold medal in the LAAA Championships
The Senior Women’s Race saw Zoe Barber finish 4th ( we are still waiting for conformation but looks like the silver medal in the LAAA event)
2nd place team place for the men in the LAAA event with the team of Cameron Young 7th (2nd in LAAA), Sam Lesley 16th, Paul Sorrie 18th (3rd LAAA Master) and Fergus Donnelly 20th
Iain Pender was 23rd, Andrew Taylor 26th, John Duffy 47th and John Oates 62nd

4J Masters Champs
Sunday saw the action return to the Emirates for the Scottish Masters Indoor Championships. Carson Graham had a busy day with a 1st in the Long Jump, 2nd in the Pole Vault and 5th in the High Jump. Well done Carson.
Kirkintilloch 12.5 K
John Duffy has a very =busy weekend and finished 29th at the Kirkintilloch 12.5k, Denis Williams was 32nd, Joe Haughey 89th, David Murphy 93rd and Gerry Mason 149th, well done everyone
Some great news for Seyd Taha Ghafari, who have been chosen to compete at World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Australia for the Mixed Refugee Team
Parkruns
The Strathclyde Parkrun saw Paul Mcguigan finished in 22.40.
At Camperdown Parkrun in Dundee, Matthew Low finished in a time of 23.40.
At the Belfast City Parkrun, Daniel Bradford narrowly missed out first place only 7 seconds behind the winner in a time of 15.07.
At Tollcross Parkrun, Ronnie Strachan took second in a time of 18.38, John Craig 3rd in 19.10 and David Murphy in 23.31.
At Lyme Parkrun, it was another win for Tom Owens in a time of 18.49.
At Ury Riverside Parkrun, Kevin Alston was 7th place in a time of 20.49.
At the Queens Parkrun, Ruth Stanley was First Lady in a time of 23.40. Andrew Shields finished in a time of 25.54.
At the Faskally Forest Parkrun, Rowan Lennox was first junior in a time of 24.19 helped over the line by Jethro Lennox in a time of 24.20.
At the Palacerigg Parkrun, John Duffy took a more leisurely pace around the course this time in a time of 27.44.
