Amit Kumur, with support from the club, made the long journey to Wales to compete in the Welsh Championships in Cardiff. He was rewarded with a 2nd place in the High Jump with a height 1.96m – just missing 2.01m.
Further congratulations to Ross Gollon who has been selected to represent Scotland in the Snowden International Hill Race on the 15th July – Ross was awarded the Jack Kean Memorial Bursary this year at our AGM to help with his training costs.
Parkrun Action – Wins for Taha, Fred and Katie
At the Plean Parkrun, Bryony Macleod finished 2nd woman in a time of 25.50.
At the Strathclyde Parkrun, Fred Davies crossed the line in 16.09 for 1st place, with Ronnie Strachan coming cross the line in 3rd place in a time of 17.03 for a PB. Paul McGuigan finished in a time of 21.25.
At Tollcross Parkrun, David Murphy finished 13th place in a time of 22.39 and Bob Porteous in 26.51
Meanwhile at Victoria Park , Taha Ghafari ran a sizzling 15.01 for the win, with Duncan Macauley next Shettleston H over the line in 18.36 , with Mark Mccoll next in 20.29.
More success this time at Springburn Parkrun with Katie Woods was First Lady in a time of 19.10.
At Ury Riverside Parkrun, Kevin Alston finished 8th place in a time of 20.57.
At the Queens Parkrun, Rowan and Jethro Lennox crossed the line in a time of 24.31 and 24.32 respectively.
At Forfar Loch Parkrun Melanie Haynes finished in a time of 32.04.
