Sunday saw the last Cross Country of the 2022/23 Season for our Young Athletes at Kirkintilloch with the Springburn Cross Country Races at Woodhead Park over a muddy course. This event covered pre school to S6 people.

Victory for club members came in the P3/P4 Boys for Louis Millican

and P3/P4 Girls for Rowan Lennox,

with Adam Clifford winning the S1 to S6 Race.

Zoe Roberts was 3rd in the P5/P7 Race. In the Pre School Ronia Jatto (younger sister of club members , Elizabeth, Rebecca & Elijah ) was 1st

Lachlan Oates 2nd in Moray 10km in a time of 30.45 

At The Wilmslow ½ Marathon Eilidh Bell ran a PB of 76.57 putting her 5th in the Scottish rankings for this year, Mark McKelvie was 23rd  in 69.50, a PB the day after running one of fastest short legs at the 6 stage Road Relays at Livingston.

Parkruns – Wins for Peter, Tom and Sam

At the Edinburgh Parkrun, Peter Avent took the win again in a very respectable time of 15.23.

Paul Mcguigan finished the Strathclyde Parkrun in a time of 21.36.

At the Tymon Parkrun, David Murphy finished in 19th place in a time of 22.35.

At Fort William Parkrun, Tom Owens took another win in a time of 17.43.

At Mount Stuart Parkrun, Gerry Mason finished in 13th place in a time of 27.49.

Finally at the Elder Parkrun, Sam Lesley took first place on the fast Govan course in a time of 17.01.
