Thursday, 9th February, marked a welcome return of the Brooks Armagh International Men’s 5k and International Women’s 3k Road Race to the racing calendar, following a two-year hiatus during Covid-19 Pandemic. It is a race that doesn’t disappoint in drawing competitive domestic and international fields and producing fast times and personal bests.

Shettleston Harriers sent strong teams in the 31st year of this historic event.

The Women’s team comprising Aoife Carr, Holly Morrison, and Tara Walker, placed competitively in 5th position of the club teams. Fionnuala Ross had gained selection for the Northern Ireland team in this race. The Men’s team comprising Jamie Burns, Seyd Taha Ghafari, Daniel Bradford, and Cameron Young, finished in 6th position of the club teams. Philip Nelson also ran in this event.

Shettleston Harriers will return the invite and host a team from Armagh Athletic Club, to Glasgow, for The 52nd Alan Scally Road Race on Saturday 4th March 2023.
