It was a weekend of silver success for Shettleston Harriers at the Senior & U18 Scottish Indoor Championships held at the Emirates Arena on Saturday.
Fresh from setting a Scottish U16 best over 600m in Manchester the previous weekend, Zoe Roberts stepped up an age group and produced another outstanding performance, claiming silver in the U18 800m with a new personal best of 2:14.71. Zoe also impressed earlier in the programme with victory in the U16 300m, adding further depth to an excellent weekend.

Joseph Lanahan, also competing up an age group, matched Zoe’s achievement by taking silver in the Long Jump with a leap of 6.71m. Completing a superb silver trio was new club athlete Aneesah King Oubacha, who marked her first major championships in Shettleston colours with second place in the U18 Triple Jump, recording 10.49m.

There were further notable performances across the sprints, with Maynard Conteh producing two personal bests — 7.16 for 60m and 22.61 for 200m.
