There was a return to more traditional British weather this weekend, but it didn’t stop a good turnout of Shettleston Harriers runners in various locations. Ronnie Strachan, Philip Neilson and Andrew Taylor all achieved first-place finishes. Here’s a roundup of the latest set of results starting in the East-End, then moving further afield.
Tollcross:
Ronnie Strachan bagged another 1st place with a time of 19:19, Lee Mitchell was 4th (22:02) and Joanne Harkins came 50th with a time of 32:06.
Cuningar Loop:
Andrew Taylor made his Cuningar Loop debut and secured an impressive 1st place with a time of 16:53.
Strathclyde:
Rebecca Ryan secured a time of 26:13 (175th) at a busy Strathclyde Park, where 452 runners participated.
Victoria:
Duncan McCawley had a strong time of 19:15, which was 14th place. Andrew Shields had a time of 24:19 (127th), Holly Morrison achieved 26:07 (174th) and Gillian McMillan came in at 33:48 (389th) in a large field of 466 Parkrunners.
Drumpellier:
Rio Biddlecome achieved 24th place with a time of 23:33 and Gerard Mason achieved a time of 27:59 (83rd).
Queen’s:
Susan Breckenridge had a strong run of 26:02, which was 50th position.
Oriam:
A great run by Philip Neilson led to a 1st place finish with a time of 17:30.
Elder:
Joseph Paterson achieved a time of 21:42 securing 30th position. Raymond Loughran was 175th with a time of 52:32 whilst on tailwalking duties.
Palacerigg:
Kevin Armstrong ran the challenging Palacerigg course in a time of 30:03 (30th).
Lurgan:
Paul Masson had an impressive time of 20:28, finishing in 6th place on what was only the 4th event at Lurgan.
