Ayr was the centre of athletics this weekend with Scottish Athletics Superteam finals on Saturday and the National Relay Championships on Sunday 

Molly Brown, Wendy Addison, Louis Millican and Naod Woldeselassie were the Shettleston Harriers team for the Superteams Final

Each athlete did a 75m , Long Jump and Turbo Javelin with a 4 x100m, the team finished 22nd

Special mention to Molly Brown who just missed the club’s Under 13 Girl’s 75m record by 0.1 held by Scottish International athlete, Jill Cherry.

Moving to Sunday and three teams made the trip back to the new Ayr Track & Field Centre for the National Relay Championships. Thank you to Matthew Lyness (Young athletes) and Jim Clifford (Seniors) who took charge of the teams. Many parents also made the trip to Ayr and the excellent  photos were taken  by new board member, Graeme Brown .

Senior Men 3×800  8th 6.11.72 (Approx lap splits Sam Lesley 2.02 , Adam Clifford 2.05, Andrew Taylor 2.04)

U/13 Girls Medley 14th 5mins 08.87 (600m/200m/600m/200m) (Charlotte Reilly , Molly Brown, Heidi Addison, Arianna Obiora ) 

U/15 4x100m -Unfortunately the team was Disqualified (Esma Guinea, Leia Connelly, Emma Locke, Helena Hughes )

It was great to the Red Star Games returned to Crownpoint on Sunday after a 5 year absence- Lidya Woldeselassie  secured a PB in the Discus and also ran the 100m
