Run, Jump, Throw

Shettleston Harriers

What is Run, Jump, Throw?

Run, Jump, Throw is our exciting introductory athletics programme designed for young children aged 5 to 9 years old. It's open to everyone, regardless of previous experience, and is the perfect start to a child's journey into athletics. This programme provides a fun and supportive environment for children to participate in athletics activity all year round. Run, Jump, Throw offers a wide range of activities for all children, focusing on fundamental movement skills through fun games and activities that cover all aspects of running, jumping, and throwing, no matter what their level of ability or skill set.

Who is it for?

Children aged from 5 to 9 years old. This programme is the start of our athletics pathway at Shettleston Harriers. For our youngest age category, everything is multi-activity and skill-based, promoting general fundamental movement skills. As children progress, the programme develops their run, jump, and throw skills in a fun environment.

From ages 9-11, athletes will then progress to our Junior Athletics programme.

Where and When Is It On?

Shettleston Harriers Run, Jump, Throw sessions take place during school term times at St Mungo’s High School, each week on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00pm till 6:00pm.
