It is now official our senior ladies’ team will represent Scotland at the UK Trial for the honour to represent the UK in the European Clubs Championships early next year. Liverpool is the venue for the trial and this is the 3rd year in a row the girls have represented Scotland .They have come a long way in 20 years since girls being part of the club. They also finished 2nd in the Scottish Athletics Cross Country Team Challenge team just behind Edinburgh AC. Another bit of great news was Annie McLean being added to the National Academy -This is the first athlete from the club to be added .Girl Power !

Parkrun – Perfect conditions for park runners at weekend
There was a lower turnout than usual this weekend due to the Newton Roadrunners 10k and the Jimmy Irvine 10k at Bellahouston, however running conditions were perfect with no wind or rain.
At Pollok Parkrun, Ruth Stanley finished in a time of 28.09, while at Finsbury Parkrun, David Murphy finished in a time of 22.41.
At Plean Parkrun, Bryony Macleod was 3rd woman in a time of 29.20.
At Tollcross Parkrun, the familiar battle continued with Iain McDonald and Ronnie Strachan, with Ronnie settling for a not to shabby 19.19 and second place.
Over to Drumpellier Parkrun where John Toms ran 25.58 and Kevin Armstrong ran 27.50.
Meanwhile at Jesmond Parkrun, Fred Davies ran a time of 29.43. On the west coast at Levengrove Parkrun, Ruth Joss ran a time of 19.26 for 3rd overall and 1st woman.
Finally at Elder Parkrun, Raymond Loughran ran 53.12.
