Over the last few weeks has saw plenty of action indoors at the Emirates Arena.

Last weekend saw the Scottish Athletics Multi Events Championships and the heats of the Scottish Relays Championships .

In the Under 13 Boys Pentathlon saw two Shettleston’s athletes competing. Abraham Lanahan and Murray Graham saw them both some great performances with a number of PB’s. Murray (60mH 12.36i, LJ 4.02i, SP 5.11i, HJ 1.22m, 800m 3.09.73i ) put together a great series to finish 5th overall. Abraham (60mH 11.04i, LJ 4.10i, SP 7.29i, HJ 1.46i, 800m 2.42.17i) broke the club record for the Pentathlon to win the gold with 1460 points. Meanwhile the Under 15 Boys 4 x 200m team of Chris Morrison, Matthew Fox, Callum Thomson, Jonathan Hooper broke the club records to reach the final on 13th February. Also going to this coming weekend finals will be the Under 17 Mens 4 x 200m team of Lucky Fadun, Michael Conteh, Maynard Conteh, Imante Gkontouin. Also well done to the Under 13 Girls (Grace Conway, Alexia Riggs, Leia Connelly, Mairi Stephen), Under 13 Boys (Lucas Millican, Sam McGowan, Ryan Duncan-Cairney, Evan Buchan) and the Under 15 Girls (Katie Woods, Ava Millican, Emma Leiper, Imogen Millar)

This weekend (Saturday 5th Feb) saw our Superteams return to the Emirates for the DNA Kids Events before the European Athletics International DNA Meeting. Two girls and two boys in each team with the A Team of Esme Guinea, Leia Connelly, Edanne Gomes and Joseph Lanahan and the B Team of Alexia Riggs, Zoe Roberts, Ryan McCallum and Lucas Wynn.

The A Team after their 60m, Long Jump and Shot where 2nd behind Dunfermline with the B Team finishing 13th. Every athlete recorded a personal best in a least one event with Esme finishing 5th Girl overall and Joseph was 1st in the Boys. The A team finished 3rd in their 4 x 200m heat with the B team finishing 2nd .Well done to everyone
