The summer of festival of local road races continued this week and Shettleston athletes could be found at two on Wednesday evening with great results 

Kilmaurs 5km -2nd Cameron Muir  Time TBC

Dundonald 10km -3rd Joshua Mirtle 35.23 

Continue this theme the Dunoon 10km completed the tiro of races on Saturday

Our track and Field athletes were also in action over the weekend at Livingston Open Graded Events ,GAA Sprint /Field Gala at Crownpoint and the AAAC Summer Open ,Aberdeen

ParkrunsWins for Taha, Victoria and John and plenty of Shetts at Victoria Park

Plenty of club members were sharpening their 5k distance times at the weekend across the country. 

Raymond Loughran was doing his sweeper duties again at the Pollok Parkrun

At Carlisle Parkrun, Rowan Lennox ran 23.39 and Jethro Lennox 23.40.

At the business end at Strathclyde Parkrun, Taha made light work of the field finishing 1st in a time of 14.47 (4th fastest ever time on this course) . Dan Lowe was 13th in 18.53 and Emma Purdie in a time of 23.33.

At Tollcross Parkrun, John Craig finished 2nd place behind Cambuslang’s Justin Carter in a time of 18.22. David Murphy was 12th in 22.29 and Joanne Harkins in a time of 32.14.

At Victoria Parkrun, Andrew Shields was 4th in 17.34, Duncan Macauley 9th in 18.30, Mark McColl 12th in 18.46, Fergus Donnelly in 19.10 and Victoria Riddell 1st Woman in 20.02.

At Ruchill Parkrun, Toby Hession was 9th in 21.17 and at Springburn Parkrun, Joe Haughey ran 21.46.
