Friday night saw the first track and field competition of the Summer 2020 season at Meadowhill with the easing of COVID19 lockdown. First athlete from the club to record a time in an outdoor competition was Carson Graham, kicking off the cobwebs in the 110m Hurdles finishing 2nd in a time 17.80.
On Saturday saw the 800m with all athletes running the full distance in lanes, Dan Lowe finished 2nd in his heat in a time of 2.15.40 with Calum Oates also finishing 2nd in 2.15.00. Carson made his 2nd journey to Meadowhill for the Long Jump where he recorded a distance of 5.76 (+2.1). The shot saw Teddy Tchoudja record personal best of 12.51m with Jay McCarthy throwing 11.66m
Sunday saw 4 athletes competing with Paul Easdale winning his 150m race in 18.35. In the 800m Adam and Mark Clifford both recorded PB’s, with Adam recording 2.33.10 and Mark 2.55.60. In the Javelin Chloe Fox confirmed her recent good form in the virtual events with a personal best of 17.86.
