Last Sunday (28th April) saw the 3rd event in a row at our home track of Crownpoint .The investment the club made along with our three partner clubs in photofinish equipment is paying off with Crownpoint being a choice as a venue. The GAA Sprint Gala saw a host of personal bests performances from the club – We believe 18!

Friday night saw the action switch to Edinburgh for the Scottish 5km Road Championships   with over 700 entries .With Lynn McKenna missing  and the ladies team short of a few regaining the team title was always out of reach .It was great to see Peter Avent back in action the men’s race after being out injured for nearly a year

John Duffy turned the clock back when winning the Male 60 prize in the classic Edinburgh to North  Berwick  20mile Race .He previously won the race back in 2002 when it was a 22mile race and also pick up the M50 prize in the last few years.

The action moved to Grangemouth for the 2nd National League Match on Sunday 5th May 

Congratulations to Ava Millican for recording yet another PB over 300m in a time of 42.77 nearly 2secs off her PB from last year 

PB performances were also  obtained by 

Tanatorn Longjamnong 100m 11.41  W +1/7  and Maynard Conteh  200m 23.22 W +2.0 

Teddy Tchoudja continued her winning ways with a win the Shot with a season best outdoors of 13.00m  and he club mate Chloe Fox just  missed her PB in the Javelin with a throw of 24.38

Congratulations to Charlotte Narducci who has been training with us all winter during her University course and is a 2nd claim member smashing her PB over 1500m with a time of 4.51.82 when running for  Aberdeen AAC 

The final event of the weekend was the Springburn Harriers Road Races for Young Athletes – Four athletes made the trip to Kirkintilloch with Joseph  Paterson  making the podium supported by his club mates, Rio Biddlecombe ,Tristan Giraud and Thierry Giraud
