Can you be an official for the club ?   Gary Woods and John Mackay have just been upgraded to Level 2 endurance officials which allow them to referee and carry most duties to put on cross country /hill races/road races .Congratulation to both of them. Essential for a club like ours. Officials are key to the club and are often a requirement to allow our athletes to compete .This summer John Coyle ,David Wallace ,Kevin Slavin ,Gary Fox ,Jim Clifford ,Elaine Mackay ,John Mackay , Thomas Kilpatrick , Raymond Loughran ,Bob Porteous, Alex Mackay and a number  of parents have helped. Our two Open Graded meetings have required close to 50 helpers and the club is very grateful to the Scottish athletics Officials who always help us. If you can help please let Alex Mackay know ,the club pays for your course.

The track season is drawing to a finish with our open grade meeting this Tuesday and the LAAA this Sunday. We look forward to the cross country season – We are hosting the West District Cross Country Relays  on the 7th October (Saturday) at Alexandria Park thank to our friends at the Milnbank Sports hub. Please make sure your Scottish athletics number is up to date to allow us to enter you .

Not running ? Can you help us to set up the Course /Marshall etc – Please let John Mackay know if you can help

As we finish the track season can I thank all our officials /parents /board members and athletes – it is your club and can only be successful when we all work together.

Congratulations to club member, Adam Peters, who was married  to Kirsty on Saturday . I know everyone in the club wishes them a happy and long marriage !
