Roll on Friday night and what a night for Jamie Burns -Scottish 10000m champion ! Smashing his PB 29.46.95 and moving into the top 12 all times for a club athlete. Club treasurer, Liz Burns, was on hand to watch her grandson clinch his first senior title. It was a proud night for the Burns family who have contribute a lot to the club over the 10years Jamie has been a member. Jamie took part a fantastic interview thanking the coaches who have worked with him over the years. This can be found on the club Facebook page or on Scottish Athletics site. It is great to see an athlete who joined the club as an 11-year-old progressing to the senior level. Jamie is just finishing off his university exams and he be off to America in August to take up a scholarship at The University of North Dakota- we are sure he will continue to improve.

Lachlan Oates made the long journey from Elgin to record a season best of 30.05.83 to finishing 8th over all. Lucas Cheskin also running ran 32.50.55 PB -A great night for the club.
Another busy weekend with the CSSL League at our home track, Crownpoint, saw Teddy Tchoudja break the league record with a shot putt of 14.58 and Godwin Imante again improving his PB over 100m to 10.95. Other notable performances included a great double from Adam Clifford over 400m PB -53.90 and 800m 2.06.83. Full results will become available over the next few days. Many thanks to all our officials and helpers on the day, especially to Club president, Elaine Mackay, as well as organising the team taking the time to compete over a number of events.
