Brian Scally has overcome a very difficult  few years but like his big sister (Elaine Mackay) he was in the prizes this week when he took first place in the Stornoway 10km in a time of 38.43

At the highly competive BMC event in Manchester Aoife Carr toed the line for her first 1500m of the year running  4.44.49.

The second race of the highly successful Babcock 10km Series moved to Dumbarton following our own race at Glasgow Green on Thursday. The weather could not have been more different from the warm dry day at the Green .Constant rain thorough out  the day saw the start area a mud bath and numerous puddles on the course. It did not stop Jamie Burns making a successful  return to racing in Scotland .Fresh off the plane from North Dakota he led his club mate Taha Ghafai home with Stewart Houston closing in the team for 2nd over all .The ladies took 2nd team with Victoria Riddell and Holly Morrison both making the top 10 in their age supported by Club President, Elaine Mackay. Well done to all our athletes who took part. The final race takes place next Thursday (30th  May) and again we expect a large turnout for the club.
