With competitions quite thin on the ground, Shettleston Harriers gave our young athletes an opportunity to stretch their legs over a 1.5k course at Alexandra Park on Saturday morning.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all our volunteers who helped on the day and thank you to Alexandra Park Sports Hub for their support.

First off at 10am was our Under 11’s , Jack Miller and Andrew Orr were head to head the whole way with Jack just getting the better of Andrew by 1/2 second to win and Jack Thompson 3rd, the girl’s race was won by Alena Habte with Louise Clifford 2nd , Edanne Gomes won the boy’s Under 9 with Zoe Roberts winning the Girl’s race. Well done to everyone who took part, you all did great.

Next up saw Cormac Daly pulling clear to win from Adam Clifford with Joseph Reilly 3rd in the Under 15 race, in the Under 13 Boys Matthew Fox won from Conor Daly with Mark Clifford 3rd

The Under 13’s Girls race saw Emma Leiper win from Katie Burns and Kate Monaghan in 3rd Place, Erin Ellor was first in the Under 17 women’s event.
