Tsegai Tewedle made his return to the marathon in Beruit over a hilly course. The race was won by Dominic Ruto of Kenya ( 2.10.41) in a course record (winner of  the Rome marathon in 2.09.08 earlier this year) .He just held off Adana Amsalu (Eth) in a sprint for the line (2.10.45) Sub 60min half marathon man Edwin Kiptto was 3rd in 2.11.56.

Tsegai was in a leading group of 6 until the 20km mark when begin to fall off the pace finally finishing 6th. This area of the race is where the hills kick in and the leading group broke clear. His time of 2.14.39 puts him 2nd in Scotland behind Callum Harkins this year and number 4 in
the UK.
