At a damp Wishaw on Saturday saw the Lanarkshire County Track and Field Championships with plenty of medals and personal bests for Shettleston athletes.
Michael Conteh continued his recent excellent form when he picked up gold medals in the 100m, 200m and the Shot Putt. Another triple medal winner was Under 11 Matthew Fox who won a silver in the 600m and the Long Jump and picked up the bronze medal in the 60m. Paul Easdale was a double silver medal winner in the 400m and 200m. Kasey Fraser (2.06.87) and Johnny Burns (2.22.62) ran personal bests to finish 2nd in both their 800m’s with Erin Ellor also picking up a silver with a PB in the 1500m. In the Under 13 Shot Putt Hannah Struthers threw 7.54m to pick up the bronze medal.
