Aidan Quinn made the trip to Bedford to the England Athletics Under 20/23 Championships with Clubmate, Miraji Ahmed to compete in the Triple Jump. Aidan improved his personal best to secure the silver medal in 15.22m with Miraji just outside the medals in 4th place.
Tuesday Night saw some members competing at Linwood and the following evening at Livingston Open Graded Meetings. Lewis Raeburn won his 3000m at Linwood with a time of 8.49.10. 8 people competed at Livingston in the 800m : – Hannah Lynch 2.42.19, Elsie Hollywood 2.28.48 PB, Erin Ellor 2.39.47, Johnny Burns 2.17.11, David Woods 2.19.82 PB, Brodie Taylor 2.50.56 PB, Katie Woods 2.54.95 PB, Katie Burns 3.02.42 PB.
Sunday saw the action move to Grangemouth for the 3rd Match in the Youth Development League . Scott Anderson had a busy day when he won his Hammer (PB), Discus (PB) and Shot, with training partner, Jay McCarthy winning the A Shot. Also PB’s for the following people : Katie Woods 75m, Long Jump; Chloe Fox 75m, Javelin; Shannon Monaghan 100m, 200m, High Jump; Ashtin Coutts 100m, 200m, Long Jump ;Luke Motherwell 200m, 300m; Theo Carter 800m; Matthew Fox 1500m, Shot Putt; Joseph Reilly 1500m; Jay Millar 80m Hurdles; Under 13 Boys 4 x 100m (SB); Adam Clifford Long Jump; Hannah Struthers Discus; Michael Conteh Javelin; Sophie Fuge Javelin.
This is the time of the year for 10km races and we had some athletes compete in the Brian Goodwin 10km on Friday and the Loch Lomond 10km on Saturday
