Fionnuala Ross continued her domination of the Scottish 10km Road Championships,  winning the title for the 4th year in a row. Her time of 34.05 was excellent on a windy day which slowed the runners down over the Stirling course. She was well clear from Stephie Pennycoat ( Fife) 34.40 and Jo Williams (Lothian) 35.47. Her team mate Avril Mason took the Masters title for the first time, finishing 6th overall in the Ladies Race in a time of 36.19. It was a pity they did not have a full team as with Fionnuala and Avril well up in the race a team medal was possible.

First home for the men was Daniel Bradford in 10th position in a time of 31.36  followed by Mike Deason in 17th position(32mins), Kevin Brydon finished 43rd (33.34) and the team was closed in by Paul Sorrie 55th (34.05)
