Over the weekend club athletes exchanged their club vests for school vests to compete in the Scottish Schools Athletic Championships at Grangemouth.We had a number of successes over the different age groups, with personal bests and medals. John Scott’s Throwing Group again experienced plenty of success with 3 gold medals, 1 silver and a 4th place.

Jamie Burns retained his 3000m title running 8.56.45 – News has come in Jamie smashed his PB (3.56.2) for the 1500m competing in London on Sunday. Gregor Campbell ran in the 1500m  finishing 6th in 4.26.91and then ran the 800m to take a second off his PB 2.04.31. Also in the 800m Johnny Burns  ran a PB of 2.15.15 to make the final where he finished 7th with a time of 2.15.83. In the Girls 1500m Erin Ellor ran 5.16.69.

In the sprints Michael Conteh smashed his PB by 1 second in the 100m to pick up the silver in 12.06 , meanwhile Rhuaridh Campbell also ran a PB in the 200m with a time of 27.41. Maynard Conteh recorded 15.44 (PB) in the 80m Hurdles and finished 8th in the Final.

Miraji Ahmed finished 2nd in the Triple Jump with a distance of 14.47

 In Leixlip in Ireland David Martin jumped 7.33m to finish 2nd in the Long Jump.
