With the most established A team runners unavailable it was a chance for the youth of the club to make the A team in the George Cummings Road Relay. The boys again highlighted the improvement they have made over the last year with Lewis Raeburn (14.01) compared to 15.15, Jamie Burns( 13.51) compared to (14.19) and William Bardsley (13.42) compared to 14.06 last year over the same course. Paul Sorrie made up the A team running 13.30 on the leg to bring in the club in 7th place behind the surprise winners from Giffnock. Brian McGarrity made a return to racing after a long absence to injury running 14.37 and with Denis Williams 15.11 in an incomplete B team.
Congratulations to Denis and John Oates who have been selected to run for Scotland in the Masters international next month.
