After a break of 3 years the National Road Relays return to the Livingston. This used to be a race in which the club were almost guaranteed a podium place but again this year things work against us. With around 20 athletes unwell and unavailable, two 7th places were a reasonable return and it was great to see a few new faces in the teams.

Thank you to all the athletes/team managers and coaches who have worked hard to get teams out in all the races. The track /summer road race /hill races now take centre stage. In the next few weeks we have athletes at the Manchester and Rotterdam Marathons as well as many of the local road races. We host our Babcock 10km in Glasgow Green on the 29th May over a new two lap course. Why not enter the Babcock series here ?

Congratulations to club member, Jamie Burns, who helped Glasgow University to the bronze medal at the Road Relays, their first ever medal at these championships. Jamie also ran an impressive 29.34 ( 5th fastest of the day in the long leg)

Michael Paxton took first place at the Buchlyvie 10km over the weekend in a time of 35.38, just missing his PB
