The second match of the Scottish Men’s League returned to Grangemouth with the club finishing 4th overall and now 3rd position in the league with two matches remaining. Next match is in Aberdeen on the 21st July  and if you want to be considered please let John Mackay know ASAP.

Match 2 saw a number of athletes making their debut for the club in the league. Andrew McFarlane made his mark, moving to joint 2nd on our all time lists for the Pole Vault with a tremendous 4.60m. It was great to have someone in this event after a gap for a number of years. It took a league record from Jax Thoirs of VP Glasgow to stop Andrew taking first place. The Longiamong brothers, Tanapon and Tanaton, also made their debut contesting the sprints in their first every race in Scotland. Other newbies include Calum Oates, Dan Lowe and U/17 athlete, Gregor Campbell. All of them made a huge  difference covering a number of events.

Super vet, Carson Graham, made a massive contribution competing in the Long Jump,Triple Jump, High Jump,100m,110 Hurdles and the Relay, all on Father’s Day !

Aidan Quinn returned to Scotland from his New Mexico  base to jump an impressive 14.42m in the Triple Jump and 6.40m in the Long Jump.

Gus McInroy and David Little combined well to collect a massive points total in the throws with Angus winning the A Shot , Discus and B Hammer with David also placing in all the same events. We wish Gus well as he is about  to become a father for the first time in the next few weeks.

Matthew Turner provided a good return over 800m/1500m and with aid of Lewis Raeburn ,Willam Bardsley and Lachlan Calder we covered the middle distance event
