This weekend was the National Indoor Championships at the Emirates Arena. Our field athletes picked up 3 medals and a 4th place. Angus McInroy, Commonwealth Discus Throwers, picked up the Scottish National Shot title with the 2nd longest throw of his career winning in 14.86. In the Women’s shot Teddy Tchoudja was 3rd picking up a Senior Medal and she is still an Under 20. It was 3rd place for Andrew McFarlane with a 4.64m jump in the Pole Vault. Miraji Ahmed was also just a few centimetres out his best with a 4th in the Triple Jump in 14.86m.

In the 60m Emmanuel Nyamekye recorded a personal best of 7.55s in his first National Championships

Congratulations to Michael Paxton who finished 2nd in the Buchlyie 10km on Saturday while a number of Shettleston teams competed in the Devil’s Burden relays in Fife.Early news from our hill runners indicate they finished 2nd overall with the masters team taking 1st in their age group.
