A fine autumn day welcomed the 79 who found their way to Killin, on the banks of Loch Tay (or thereabouts) for the Meall nan Tarmachan Hill Race registration. Some of them cutting it a little fine (ahem!.. In my defence, it’s a long drive from Glasgow, right?!). Stunning day for it! Warm in the sun, almost summery at times, but absolutely freezing at the top as the wind blew. Only one representative graced the ridge on the Ben Lawers range in the blue and gold but unfortunately all the speeding was done on the road to Killin and not much was left for the race itself. Rodrigo Reiss finished 67th in a time of 1:19:57. Still worth the drive, though.
Congratulations to the winners:
First Male, Tom Harris, Unattached, 00:52:11; and
First Lady, CJ McPhail, 28th overall, Anster Haddies, in a time of 01:06:06.
Also worthy of mention is 2nd male, Kieran Cooper, 00:53:10, UNATTACHED, who some may remember from a few Bog and Burn races this year… Plus 4th at Lairig Ghru and 7th at Glenshee 9. Can we sign him up, please? New talent always welcome?!
Thank you to Rodrigo for the photo
