Saturday saw 4 of the club’s master athletes heading to Forres for the British Masters Cross Country Championships, Peter Mackie finished 31st, followed by Denis Williams 44th, John Duffy 61st and John Oates 71st with a 5th place team finishing.
Meanwhile in the warmth of the Emirates Arena saw the SAIL 4 x 200m Relay Event. The Under 15 Boys team of Jay McCarthy, David Woods, Rios Dickens and Adam Martin finished in a time of 1.57.31 to record the best time for this age group for a number of years, taking off about 9 seconds form their previous outing. The Under 13 Boys of Ethan Ofoegbu, Michael McDougall, Jay Millar and Adam Clifford and the Under 17 Women team of Woodjina Lanahan, Catriona Brannan, Jodie MItchell and Hannah Lynch also ran a season best with a time of 2.09.67(Under 13 Boys) and 2.03.28 (Under 17 Women).
