July has been a busy month for club members competing around the UK and further afield.

On the international scene, Chris Bennett has been in Oslo, Norway finishing 4th, 67.77 and 3rd in Luzern, Switzerland throwing over the magical 70m.

On his international debut over 1,500m, Jamie Burns ran 4:02:18 finishing an excellent 3rd place at the U/20 Welsh International in Cardiff.

In early July, the club finished 2nd in the CSSL match which puts un in first place over all in Division 3. Promotion is on the cards as league if we can get a full team out for the last match and top the league. The men’s league team is now 2nd overall going into the last match after some excellent performances at the Aberdeen match (full results for both matches can be found here: https://www.thepowerof10.info/results/results.aspx?meetingid=286254

Our masters athletes have been busy in their national championships with Carson Graham shinning, winning events over the High Jump and Long Jump and 110m Hurdles. Brian Scally and Mark McColl also competed with distinction.

Mark also managed to fit in a 1/2 Marathon in Girvan where he finished 25th (1:27:56). Andrew Gibson ,in preparation for the Budapest marathon, finished 4th in the Hexham 1/2 marathon.

We also had our youngsters in action at Livingston on Sunday. Matthew Fox and Adam Clifford (cover shot) ran in the Mile race with Adam taking the gold, running under 6 mins for the first time over this distance. Matthew took silver.
