International selection is a great honour for any athlete and we are delighted to announce Lachlan Oates has been selected to take part in the UK European Cross Country Trials at Liverpool next weekend.

A few of our more senior athletes travelled to Aintree (Liverpool) to represent Scotland in the Home Countries Masters International. It highlights again the range of opportunities for international selection. John Oates, Lachlan’s father , gained international selection in the 60+ age group! Other perfomances by club members running for Scotland : M40 -Jethro Lennox 11th , M50 -Walter Henderson 26th , M55 -Denis Williams  12th, M60 John Oates 13th 

On Sunday action returned to Glasgow at Bellahouston Park for the Jimmy Irvine Bella 10k – Callum Oates finished 11th in 34.49, John Sutch 199th 46.02 and Andrew Kirkhope 231st 47.13.

Our athletes have been popping up again across Europe with brother and sister – Gerry and Anne Francis Mason, competing in the historical Athens Marathon : Gerry Mason 4.15.22, Anne Francis Mason 5.02.24
