Sunday saw the action go back to Grangemouth for the 2nd League Match of the CSSL. This event covers all age groups from our youngest to oldest members. While we do not have the full official results, the provisional results show some great PB’s. Oliver Elder in the Under 11 boys improved his personal bests in the 150m and 600m, Millie Parsons competed in her first competition recorded PB’s in the Long Jump and 150m. In the Under 13 Age Group Matthew Fox ‘s PB 70m Hurdles & Shot , Joseph Reilly PB 1500m, Chloe Fox PB 70m Hurdles & 200m, Orla Parsons PB 70m Hurdles & 1200m, Emma Leiper PB 1200m. Michael Conteh improved his PB in the 80m Hurdles, Maynard Conteh PB Javelin, Luke Motherwell PB Javelin & 200m, Lucky Eduwu Fadun PB 200m, Long Jump & 1500m. Also Under 20 Hannah Lynch improved her 1500m PB and Javelin.

Thank you to everyone who helped on the day with the team and doing their officials. Our sport relies on people giving up their free time and we are always looking for people to give up some of their free time to help, even a few hours a year makes sure a difference.

On Friday night we saw the GAA Sprint Evening at Scotstoun, David Martin finished 2nd in the Long Jump (7.18m) and ran the 100m (results not known yet).

Also Friday night saw the Calderglen Harriers Trail Running Festival at East Kilbride and saw Shettleston Harriers’ fill the 1st three places in the Senior Women’s 5K event with Ruth Joss 1st, Kathryn Pennel 2nd and Charlene Manley 3rd. Other results : John Duffy 2nd U/55, Gerry Mason
